As part of a Lenten fundraiser and launch of our Parish Ministry of Care, we will be making hand-made blankets for hospitalized patients for the Children's Hospital in Winnipeg. This is an initiative of Payton's Blankets (non-for-profit) that has created blankets in memory of Payton who had passed away tragically while in care. The making of blankets have been a way for many families in similar circumstances to cope, and have been a sign of comfort for many patients that they are being thought of, care for prayed for. 
 
You don't need to bring any material, and you don't need to know how to sew! Everything will be provided. 
 
Cost is $25 and will take place on Thursday April 10 from 7-9pm at Mary, Mother of the Church and you also get a tax receipt! If interested, you must confirm by Tuesday, April 8.
